Your comments seem to ignore the Fraunhofer Institute data, which clearly includes hydropower (both reservoir and run-of-river) as well as geothermal.

You also conveniently choose to ignore France's high nuclear construction and maintenance costs and the impact on Germany of exporting energy to France.

Try as you might to shift focus, Germany has reduced carbon emissions while eliminating nukes.

In my opinion, you haven't addressed Mr. Dans' basic assertions. As the price of solar and batteries continues to fall, nukes are an increasingly expensive nightmare.

This isn't a sprint; it's a marathon, and Germany, while not in the lead, has been making solid progress.
