Working overtime to miss the many, many points.

Taking someone's statement to absurd levels so that you can mock it rather than actually considering it (or refuting it) is a common logical fallacy.

And demanding to be put in front of a client to deliver pricing very early in her tenure is essentially equivalent to doing a 747 engine swap, just in a different context.
