While I agree that ignorance is often a byproduct of inability and/or intellectual laziness, which I see more as a habit than an innate ability, when I look at flat Earthers, Trump supporters, anti-vaxxers, and "conservatives" in general, I have no choice but to believe my eyes and ears. They are intentionally, willfully ignorant.
