Uhh, no one is saying that we're being killed directly by record-shattering levels of CO2 in the atmosphere. The problem is that all this CO2, methane, etc is trapping more and more heat, which is now rapidly changing weather patterns as well as temperature.

These changes in climate are already causing record heat, drought, fires, floods, violent storms like hurricanes, and famine worldwide.
