The obvious questions are: where will all the CO2 come from (the atmosphere, the oceans), how will it be captured (carbon capture technologies exist but only at small scale), and how much will it cost in terms of dollars and net environmental impact?

Removing carbon from the atmosphere AND using it to store renewable energy sounds terrific ... but nothing's free.
