The Dems haven’t been anywhere near actual socialism, where the government controls (not regulates but owns) the means of production, distribution, etc, since FDR in the 40s. Even Bernie Sanders isn’t a socialist.
Dishonesty, ignorance, and fear of socialism were tools used by Trump and the GOP as they are in virtually every election cycle. Socialism was not on the ballot, i.e. there was no option to vote for socialism or a socialist candidate.
And work to do doesn’t in any way constitute a platform. There’s been a pandemic to address all this year. Your argument would make addressing the pandemic part of Trump’s platform simply because it exists. Instead he’s asserted over and over that it does not and has done everything to try to ignore it.
The question is what does Biden intend to do? What are his stated priorities, what is he passionate about (nothing so far, not even winning the Presidency), but far more importantly what is he likely to actually do if he wins. His campaign handlers have crafted policy statements, but that’s not the same thing as Biden having an agenda.
