Sayin' "nothin' at all" means all that negative energy stays inside us, toxic and corrosive. Getting it out is part of what a pithy, poetic "fuck" is for.

I've had success with writing responses that I just don't send. They help me "get it out" without the need to subject anyone to more emotional trauma.
