What I'm vehemently opposed to is fear-based and magical thinking, which form the foundation of Mr. Pueyo's "well-argued" article and your own reply (hubris! doom!).
It's not "denial" or "hubris" to insist on using terms like ANI, AGI, and ASI correctly or to point out realistically the progression and amount of effort (and therefore time) required just to make a credible start on general, let alone super, intelligence.
Hint: It's more than "months".
