Perhaps one of the most ignorant, knee-jerk replies I've ever received.

It's old (proven, reliable, etc), so it needs to go. Dear Lord, indeed.

How about calculus? It's been around for over 300 years -- a lot older than Java. Should we get rid of that too?

The author never proved any of his claims, let alone his thesis, and in fact undermined many of them and relied on easy assumptions to "prove" the rest. Repeating this nonsense IN ALL CAPS doesn't make his original argument any more compelling.

The actual problem is that neither you or the author have the first clue what you're talking about ... but you both keep right on talking.
