Maybe I just interact with the worst homeless people?

I've been cursed and threatened for offering food to "hungry" homeless people, shelter and employment to "unlucky" homeless people, etc. Neighbors have been robbed and assaulted by homeless people. And I've watched as filthy homeless tent cities (soiled adult diapers, anyone?) take over and pollute our public spaces, parks, etc.

To the point where I'm pretty much over it.
