Incorrectly uppercase it all you like (unless you're a member of the UK's Conservative Party), but ethical conservatism is like jumbo shrimp and military intelligence.

"The word 'conservative' is used in lower case as the word refers to general principles of conservatism and is not a proper noun, as in a political Conservative Party." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Small-c_conservative

I would think that a self-proclaimed advocate of clear communication such as yourself would carefully differentiate between common and proper nouns and use them appropriately.

As for the meaning of the word "conservative" itself, Oxford states that it means "averse to change or innovation and holding traditional values", and Webster notes the conservatives favor "lower taxes, limited government regulation of business and investing, a strong national defense, and individual financial responsibility for personal needs (such as retirement income or health-care coverage)".

You know, like the Tea Party or libertarians, who paved the way for today's far more malignant MAGAts.

Conservatives typically lack empathy and base their beliefs about self-reliance on easily disprovable, self-serving fantasies that ignore shared and publicly funded infrastructure, etc. Which brings me to a few questions.

Being "conservative", where do you stand on tax cuts for billionaires and corporations, pointless debt ceiling brinksmanship, trillion-dollar wars, abortion, gerrymandering and voter suppression, and other standard "conservative" tactics, i.e. the questions that I raised and that you avoided in my initial reply?

If against, is this just philosophical, self-congratulatory posturing, or have stood/do you stand actively against them by casting your vote in the U.S.?

If so, who did you vote for in 2016 and in 2020 since Ralph Nader (not "Nadar") wasn't on either ballot?

If for anyone other than the two main party candidates, your vote was technically wasted, i.e. hate him as you may, you allowed him to be elected in 2016 and to almost steal the 2020 election. How do you condone that?

And finally, how do you, a "conservative", reconcile living in one of the most socialist countries in the world (in a castle, no less; ya can't make this stuff up, people) with corresponding high taxes, big, active government, and universal healthcare, which are anathema to the actual conservative core agenda?

Just so many inconsistencies and outright, glaring contradictions here.
