I'm 100% with you about our need to wake up and act. However, ignoring the compounding effects of this year's El Niño climate pattern is to risk having your message dismissed as unrealistic and alarmist.

The heatwave is definitely happening. Delusional, self-involved idiots are still setting their thermostats to 68 F here in the states. Our governments continue to talk but not act. And the tipping points are approaching fast. All true.

But we're breaking records this year not because climate scientists were too conservative or because the climate took some kind of leap but because of warming + El Niño. When La Niña returns, we'll just have the regular, old terrifying warming trend ... until the next El Niño, which will be even worse.
