I think Rocco's point, which I 100% agree with, is that it's as rosy as you choose to make it.

For example, Social Security can go a long way, if you've paid into it your whole life and if you choose to spend it in Spain or somewhere with a more reasonable cost of living.

It's easy to come up with reasons why it won't work or that it isn't fair. The point of the article was to keep pushing and challenging ourselves.
