What we've seen has been impressive synthesis, based on existing examples of writing, art/media, code, etc. I would assert that there has been zero actual creativity, i.e. no new ideas, just better (in some cases), more quickly-generated examples of what already existed.

And intelligence is still so inadequately defined (let alone understood) that this claim is meaningless (and in my opinion dangerously misleading).
