I'd like to suggest a different take on your assertion that "Software Architects are Super Senior Developers (usually…)".
I believe that while developers and architects do share a lot of the same tools and can do a lot of the same tasks (e.g. coding), they differ primarily in the way they look at and the questions they ask about the world.
Architects tend to be much more strategic, while engineers/developers tend to be more tactical.
