I meant the huge cost overruns in building and maintaining its nuclear generation capacity. Mr. Dans refers to these in his article.

These costs can't be ignored whether they're passed along directly to consumers or not.

As Mr. Dans also points out, Germany generated a large amount of energy for France last year.

Just saying that it's not quite as simple as green vs brown on a chart.

My comments about Germany's good progress also include the U.S. not just Europe. I maintain that Germany has made different choices, many of which may take longer to be recognized as prudent.

I think we can both agree that it's the U.S. that isn't even in the race.
