Just offering a different perspective on social media. Facebook has primarily become my "journal", where I memorialize things I find interesting or important. Instagram is where I collect my "artsy" photographs with [hopefully] brief, interesting captions.

Others can certainly see and comment on all of this, and I do get the added benefit of the occasional shared kid pic, humorous meme, or interesting shared article, but for the most part I'm not "shouting into a void"; I'm journaling, primarily for me.
