"Evangelical Christians are not designed to live in a pluralistic society, where 'good people can disagree.' That is why they have spent several decades ensuring that the good people (them) are in charge of making the rules for the bad people (us). And now that they have momentum to do so, they will — and have already telegraphed their desire to — crap on the separation of church and state.
Please do not misunderstand what we are up against.
There is no progress to be made, there is no hope to cleave to and there is certainly no neutrality with Evangelical Christians, who now control almost every aspect of law in the United States. They will see us live by their rules no matter the harm it causes individuals or the country, because they truly, deeply believe that they are agents of God, helping everyone find their way to heaven while they put us through hell."
